The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Entrepreneurship Training Programme for 2023 will include virtual and physical training, followed by a pitching session, where 25 businesses can receive N500,000 in grant funding. Eligible applicants must be Nigerian business owners age 18 and above, running a profit-oriented business based in the country.

Now in its 5th cycle, the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Entrepreneurship Training Programme (DBNETP) is DBN’s flagship initiative. With a capacity building being a primary mandate, DBN has already trained over 2000 MSMEs across the country both digitally and physically through the DBN Learning Management System (LMS) and partnerships.

The annual Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) Entrepreneurship Training Programme aspires to meet the following objectives;

Ensuring MSMEs have the necessary skills to create value and robust business proposals.

Ensuring the ability of MSMEs to access available credit.

Strengthening the capacity of MSMEs for efficient fund utilization, trade, investments, and market access.

Training format for 2023

The programme will employ a blended learning format that includes both virtual and physical training.

Training programme Process Flow

The program involves several steps, beginning with registration on the DBN BizAid application portal. Applicants must complete at least 4 mandatory courses on the BizAid Learning management platform, achieve an average score of 70% from all quizzes, and then apply for face-to-face training. A screening process will select eligible businesses based on specific criteria.
